Biography: Howard Gospel has a long association with Oxford, having been an undergraduate at St Catherine's College and an early staff member in the School of Management and a Fellow of Pembroke College. He is Professor of Management (emeritus) at King's College London and a Senior Research Fellow at the London School of Economics. He has taught and been a visiting professor in the US, Germany, France, and Japan. His recent research has focussed on managerial human resource strategy, employee voice arrangements, training and development, the growth of large firms, and corporate governance and labour. He studies these in historical and comparative perspective, with a particular interest in the UK, US, Germany, France, and Japan.
