Abstract: What carbon management strategies do firms pursue today? How will carbon management evolve up to 2012? What business opportunities does carbon management create?

Biography: David is the CEO and a founding director of Verdantix, an independent business research firm focused on climate change, business sustainability and energy challenges.. He co-leads the fact based, forward-looking research conducted by Verdantix analysts that helps P&L owners, change leaders and entrepreneurs to win in the transition to a low carbon economy. His advice supports the strategic and commercial decisions of executives in roles like Chief Sustainability Officer, Head of Innovation, Practice Leader, Climate Change Director, VP Sustainability and Head of Energy. David was previously Senior Vice President at Forrester Research, the NASDAQ listed technology and business research firm, where he led the EMEA research, consulting and client services teams. Prior to joining Forrester, he was Head of Analysis and Forecasting at BT Group where his team supported strategic decisions across the firm. David has also worked at the European Commission in Brussels as well as research institutes in Paris and Maastricht. David holds a PhD from Cambridge University which analyzed European energy markets using decision analysis and game theory. David was the first non-US citizen to receive a Graduate Research Fellowship from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and was subsequently a Research Associate at the Harvard Business School where he completed his PhD. He also holds an MA from the College of Europe in Bruges
